I recently drove to Lexington, KY to meet and photograph Joanna and Simon, a couple I had booked earlier in the year for their September wedding. I was so thrilled when they asked me to meet them at Michler’s, a greenhouse cafe located in the city and snap some shots in and around the flora.
You read that right people, a greenhouse cafe.
So after a few drinks and some beer cheese (yummo, by the way) to get to know each other, we made our way through the plants and gardens with my camera in hand. I loved photographing them and listening to them tell me all about how they met, planning for the wedding, and what they were looking forward to.
Engagement sessions really can be a fantastic opportunity for me to better serve the people I take photos of. Knowing a bit about the connection that exists between two people in love has proven time and time again to be priceless.
I can not wait to get these lovebirds in front of my lens again for their wedding!
