Erin and Matt’s wedding date is swiftly approaching, and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding here in Louisville this Spring! I can’t believe it has taken me this long to get around to sharing these images, but there is no time like the present, am I right?
Here are some words from Erin when I asked her to give me a bit of history on the two of them:
“Matt (I call him Socks) and I met in college. He was a sophomore who was friends with my RA. That’s when the nickname Socks was first introduced to me. And yes, I still call him that 99% of the time! We were friends throughout college. I always liked how much he enjoyed good music, and the amount of bands he knew of. I think we both had crushes on each other throughout college in the beginning…I was almost always his date to dances or formals where he needed a date, but didn’t want to worry about taking someone he didn’t know or wasn’t sure how they felt. We could always have a good time. When he rushed Kappa Sigma I became friends with all of those guys, and they are still our good friends today. I was even Kappa Sig sweetheart because those goofball boys were my guys. Once Socks graduated we started playing with the idea of being more than friends. We took our time officially dating and letting people know, because we wanted to make sure this thing would stick. Didn’t want to run the risk of ruining a really good friendship. And that was 6 years and three cities ago! We did long distance for three years (I was in Chicago, he was in Nashville), and we moved to NYC almost two years ago! We have two cats who I am clearly obsessed with.”
