Filson summer wedding

Its no secret that I love the Filson Historic Society. Nestled in the heart of Old Louisville and only a short stroll to Central park, it has been a favorite of mine for smaller weddings and events over the past year. Not to mention I love supporting an organization that is committed to preserving the history of the Area (its a cool spot to check out even if you aren’t getting married!!)  When Jenny and Nick told me that they would be getting Married here, I was thrilled. Its was a simple, straightforward day with friends and family, complete with all the charm of the historic area, great food, and three (yes, three) outfit changes by the bride!
It is always such an honor to be a part of a couple’s day, to get to know their friends and their families, to be tasked with capturing the memories that they will pass down for generations. Photos to me are a legacy, a family history, a story of a generation, and I think about that every single time I an invited into one of these special days.
Scroll down to peek through Jenny and Nick’s wedding, and a huge thanks to my dear friend and fellow photographer Sam English for helping me out on this special wedding day.
