Engagement sessions are some of my favorite days on the job. Bringing my camera along to really dig into the personality of a couple, really seems to put my clients at ease when it comes to their wedding day. It can be so confronting to have pictures taken, so a session before the wedding, when the pressure is off is a great way to break the ice and get a little more comfortable in front of the camera.
Not that these two needed any help at all! I loved running around Lexington with these two to get a good mix of photos. Joanna is a natural in front of the camera and Simon loved any opportunity to snuggle up to his future bride. I remember her texting me before the session, so nervous about having photos done, and I remember telling her that this was about THEM, not me. My best advice, always, is to relax and enjoy the time we have to spend together.
And that, at the end of the day, that is what is the most important.
